Mumbai, Sep 25 (TruthDive): In the Indian box office Heroine has collected approximately Rs. 25 million rupees in its first weekend and its worldwide box office already collected Rs. 27.5 million rupees. Kareena Kapoor's film is indeed doing well and on the road to profit.
Heroin Bollywood film directed by Madhur Bhandarkar starring Kareena Kapoor in the lead role was highly anticipated for the decomposition of the weekend opening record collection of super hit film of Vidya Balan The Dirty Picture. Unexpectedly, the business was disturbed by Barfi Ranbir Kapoor and horror film South Indian film starring Priyamani Charulatha.
According to reports released by the capsule site box office domestically, Heroine collected 7.25 cr on Friday, 8.5 cr on Saturday and according to early estimates Sunday 9.75 cr.
Thus, the national collection total to 25.5 cr and overseas collection 2.5 cr, the total worldwide collection rounds to 27.50 cr.
Critics gave the film Heroine criticism, while last week's release Barfi Ranbir Kapoor received rave reviews and positive word of mouth. This was the reason for moderate pickup in northern India. Especially after the entry Barfi got an Oscar nomination from India, Ranbir film increased curiosity among viewers over the last weekend and then heroin collection was affected.
The other reason is the release of Charulatha of Priyamani. The horror film that was released around the South Indian languages Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada, prevented the box office collection of heroin in southern India. Further, Ganesh Utsav and ICC T20 World Cup are also working against the film.
However, the collection opening weekend of heroin is much better than the collection opening weekend of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, which grossed only Rs 21.25 million rupees net.
Trade experts say it is a good collection for a movie focused on women and, in general, it is a profitable project. Furthermore, Kareena Kapoor has benefited from the positive reviews on their performance.
