The race for the greatest treasure begins….as Sony / Columbia Pictures releases the second official trailer for their upcoming video game film adaptation of Uncharted. View trailer below.
Based on one of the best-selling, most critically acclaimed video game series of all time, Uncharted introduces audiences to the young street-smart Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and showcases his first treasure hunting adventure with wisecracking partner Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg). In an action-adventure epic that spans the globe, the two go in dangerous pursuit of “the greatest treasure never found” while also tracking clues that may lead to Nathan’s long-lost brother.
I do have to say that I wasn’t expecting a new trailer for this movie, but I welcome this new preview for the upcoming film. As I mentioned before, I am a fan of the Uncharted games (more so than the Tomb Raider franchise) and love the various adventures that video game character Nathan Drake goes on. Thus, I’m very excited to see this new movie and how it will handle in translating from “game to screen”. This new trailer showcases plenty of new footage and sets the stage for a grandiose globe-trotting adventure that’s very much “in-line” with its source material. All in all, I’m looking forward to seeing Uncharted in a few months, for as the saying goes…..fortune favors the bold!
