Kristen Stewart has achieved something no other American actress has before, winning a César at France’s most prestigious film award show.
The 24-year-old Twilight star’s eyes went wide when she heard her name called at the Paris event Friday. She even attempted to accept the award in French in an emotional speech.
Stewart won best supporting actress for her performance in French writer/director Olivier Assayas’s Clouds of Sils Maria – Juliette Binoche and Chloë Grace Moretz also star in the acclaimed drama.
Backstage, Stewart told reporters she prefers the French film industry.
