ROY Drops Very Big In 2nd Weekend
After disastrous ”Besharam”, Ranbir Kapoor scorched the screen after gap of 16 months though in an extended cameo. Film was more of Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline starrer. Film dropped after good weekend and then dropped drastically in 2nd weekend.
””Roy”” opened to very good occupancies on 1st day morning. It was by far the best opening of the year and metros look real solid. Film collected 10.40 cr nett on day one and that too despite not so great word of mouth.
Film collected 41.77 cr nett in week one out of which close to 28 cr nett was weekend. Film trended very badly after healthy weekend and that is why there is not much expectation in 2nd week. Film was hit by bad reviews and poor word of mouth.
Film collected 60 lakhs nett on 2nd Friday which was drop of in excess of 90% from 1st Friday. Film added 68 lakhs nett on 2nd Saturday and 62 lakhs nett on 2nd Sunday . Film has total of 43.65 cr nett in 10 days and now film is heading for 47-48 cr nett lifetime. Flop!
