1st Week Box Office Collection Of Badlapur
After disastrous beginning of 2015 with flops finally Varun Dhawan starrer ”Badlapur” seems to work at box office. After rather good weekend now film has posted a strong Monday that too despite adult tag and lean period.
”Badlapur” opened to low occupancies of 15% in areas like Gujarat, UP and Bihar but film was better in Rajasthan, Mumbai and Delhi with 35% occupancies. Overall opening was around 25% and 28% which was good for mid budget film. Film collected 7 cr nett on Friday.
Film grew on Saturday and collected 8.50 cr nett which was very good growth. Film was super solid in metros and urban high end multiplexes. Mumbai and Pune were outstanding which was expected considering the theme and settings of the film.
Film was affected by cricket match and collected 8 cr nett which was good considering big cricket match. Film had 3rd best weekend of 2015 with 23 cr nett total. Monday was super crucial for the film and film passed the test with flying colors.
Film dropped by only 42% from Friday and collected 4.05 cr nett followed by 3.01 cr nett on Tuesday and 2.60 cr nett on Thursday. Film has collected total number of 36.51 cr nett. Film is not too strong due to big drops in north but it”s not too bad either due to good hold in Mumbai and Mysore.
Now film is set to dominate in 2nd week as new releases do not look exciting enough. Film has also added good 6 cr plus in overseas over weekend which is 2nd best for Varun Dhawan after SOTY and bit better than HSKD.
