Amala Akkineni, wife of Telugu superstar Nagarjuna is all set to act and croon in Hamari Adhuri Kahani. Her role int he film is pivotal and she will sing the title song too for the film.
Other stars who feature in the Mohit Suri film are Emraan Hashmi, Vidya Balan and Rajkummar Rao.
The film is a love triangle which be set in two different periods. According to a leading daily, Amala will age gracefully in both the time period and blend into the character. “Her character encompasses the theme of the film,” says a source.
Producer Mahesh Bhatt said, “We chose Amala because her beauty has a certain tranquillity. She is the heart of the film and conveys a sense of romantic idealism. Her character, much like Amala herself, believes that you do not have to be extraordinary to love someone extraordinarily.”
