''Filmistaan'' released in middle of huge critical acclaim and expectations among niche audience. Film clashed with big Akshay Kumar release ''Holiday - A Soldier Is Never Off Duty'' and Tom Cruise starrer ''Edge Of Tomorrow''.
Film collected modest 51 lakhs on Friday but film was expected to jump big on Saturday. And that is what happened as film jumped by 100% on Saturday and collected 1.04 cr nett. Film again jumped by 30% on Sunday and collected 1.35 cr nett which was good.
Film collected 2.90 cr nett over weekend which was good but low starting number hurt the film badly. If film holds up well on weekdays then film has chances of reaching 6 cr nett lifetime otherwise 2.75 cr nett weekend means rather modest lifetime total of 5-5.50 cr nett.
