GODZILLA Suffers Badly In 2nd Week
''Godzilla'' had strictly average weekend at box office but weak weekdays meant very below average week one. Film was sold on higher price so recovery will be a difficult proposition for investors considering huge drop on 2nd Friday.
''Godzilla'' took rather underwhelming start on Friday and collected 5 cr nett which was good but not great considering cost, hype and release size. Film was expected to grow on Saturday and that is what happened. Film collected 25.40 cr nett in week one which was average considering price and release size.
Film dropped heavily on 2nd Friday due to huge release of ''Heropanti'', ''''X Men'''' and ''Kochadaiyaan''. Film collected only 25 lakhs on 2nd Friday and 30 lakhs on 2nd Saturday taking 9 day total to 25.95 cr nett. Film will not collect more than 90 lakhs in 2nd weekend and maximum 1.75 cr nett in 2nd week.
