Last weekend at least 7 Bollywood and couple of regional films in addition to one Hollywood film released in cinemas. Call this suicide by producers or lack of common sense, this scenario will affect exhibitors and makers adversely with dismal numbers over weekend.
''Hawaa Hawaai'' was presented by Fox and had huge marketing push. But film failed to impress at box office and collected poor 75 lakhs on day one. Film grew over on Saturday and collected 1.40 cr nett on Sunday with growth of 40%. Film grew by further 30% on Sunday and collected 1.80 cr nett.
Film has collected 3.95 cr nett in 3 days and film remained strictly average at box office. Film will not collect more than 6.50 - 7 cr nett over week one and that is not satisfactory performance considering marketing push.
