Bollywood films are tanking at box office for last couple of weeks. Hollywood films are dominating box office but this week this all set to change with massy releases hitting the screens from Bollywood and south industry.
''Heropanti'' takes a solid start in morning shows in central India. Rajashthan, CI and CP are almost close to 75% which is phenomenal. Mumbai and other western parts are slow to start and should grow as the day progresses. North is solid and UP, East Punjab and Delhi are close to 60%. South is affected by release of Rajnikanth starrer. Bihar, Orrisa and West Bengal are close to 50%.
''X Men Future Of Past'' was released in almost 500 screens and its urban flick so there is not much to write about in morning shows. Still film can grow from evening onwards to weekend.
Rajnikanth starrer ''Kochadaiyaan'' has taken south market by storm and its almost close to 90%. In Hindi, film was released in 450 screens which is less than half of Rajnikant starrer ''Robot'' which was released in 1050 screens. Film will be average in Hindi version at best as there is not much interest in animated films.
As per early trends, ''Heropanti'' should cross 5 cr nett easily on day one and if West grows on expected lines then anything close to 6 cr nett is possible. Overall it will be 2nd highest opening for a debutant''s film after SOTY and beating ''Ishaqzaade''.
