On expected lines, ''Kaanchi'' got bad reviews and film failed to take big start at box office. And due to bad word of mouth, film failed to jump big on day two despite good release size of 1200 screens.
Film collected close to 0.75 cr nett on day one which was poor considering release size. Film had 15% growth and managed only 95 cr nett on day two taking 2 day total to 1.70 cr nett. Film is going no where at box office and it seems that film will not collect even 2.50 cr nett over weekend which is shame.
Film will find it tough from here on and lifetime total of 10 cr nett is out of reach.
