Now real test will be Monday and Tuesday numbers which will decide its final outcome. Anything close to 52 cr nett week one at domestic box office looks certain and that will be great result for the film.

2 STATES Registers Huge Weekend 49 cr Nett Worldwide

On expected lines, ''2 States'' opened to bumper response aided by Good Friday holiday on Friday. Film has garnered mixed response from critics but audience word of mouth is fairly positive in urban centers. And that is why film remained stable on Saturday and Sunday was again phenomenal.

Film collected close to 12.42 cr nett on day one as we predicted in yesterday night report. Film was super strong in city plexes and that can be attributed to brand of Chetan Bhagat. Film was not so strong in smaller centers and single screens.

Film has opened to 50% occupancy in Mumbai and Delhi yesterday morning. Though film did not grew on day two but still film collected big 12.13 cr nett on Saturday which was great considering overflow of day one due to holiday. Film ran to packed houses on Sunday and was exceptional in metros.  

Film should collect 13.51 cr nett on Sunday which means jump of 10% over holiday aided day one. Film has collected 38.06 cr nett over weekend which is outstanding.  Film also added good numbers from overseas and weekend total should be close to 11 cr.
