All New Releases Struggle, YOUNGISTAAN Leads In Multiplexes But DIKSHIYAOON InSingle Screens
Three new films released today and all three new films ''Dikshaiyoon'', ''Youngistaan'' and ''O Teri'' are of similar size and similar sort of cast. ''Dishkaiyoon'' got 1500 screens and due to Eros backing and presence of Sunny Deol, it got biggest release especially in single screens. Other two releases are close to 800 screens.
''Dishkaiyoon'' is struggling in multiplexes though as of now it has nose ahead due to bigger release size and single screen shows but poor reviews will start showing affect and multiplexes will add numbers from evening onwards. Even 1.25 cr nett on day one will be a good total!
''Youngistaan'' is dark horse among new releases and film has taken a better start especially in multiplexes and urban areas. Music and hit songs are plus for the film. Film should grow from evening onwards as it has got the best reviews out of new releases.
''O Teri'' received real bad reviews and with so much competition, it is real tough task for the film at box office. Film should settle with 1 cr nett on day one going by the early trends.
''Ragini MMS 2'' and ''Queen'' will continue to dominate in their own way and will make life tough for newreleases. All in all an interesting and close battle at box office!
