Krrish3 Movie Reviews Recommended By Indicine - Indicine Team
Films like Krrish 3 are highly dependant on the technical expertise of the crew working on aspects like production design, visual effects, costume design, action design, cinematography and editing. The visual effects of Krrish 3 are top notch considering the limited budget of the film. Red Chillies VFX have bettered their Ra.One work here. Another important thing to notice about the visual effects of Krrish 3 is that the visual effects never gets too intrusive and doesn’t intrude the story. The cinematography ably supports the VFX work. The production design however comes across as too tacky and too unrealistic. It was a major letdown. The costume design doesn’t create too many benchmarks of greatness. Editing is decent enough.

From the writing point of view, while the first half introduces us to the characters and the conflict sets in motion, it's the second hour that works like magic, holding you attentive till the last frame. Kangna's character is one of the striking aspects, Vivek's villainy reaches its crescendo and the fight between good and evil, towards the second half, is the hallmark of the enterprise. Besides the VFX, the look of the characters catches your eye. The costumes, the makeup, the overall makeover of the characters is truly imaginative, with the director and those associated in the respective departments running their imagination wild to create an impression.

The filmmaker ensures that the acting department does a fab job! Vivek Oberoi delivers a brilliant show as the negative lead, even though he is limited to a wheelchair in most parts of the film. Priyanka Chopra is sincere in every frame. And Kangana Ranaut is simply outstanding! I'm told she initially rejected this role and then later agreed to do it. Now I know why she came back to it. She sails smoothly in the evil character gliding through the action scenes and making them look all natural.

With a visually riveting and emotionally engaging story, intriguing characters, sweeping VFX (unseen thus far on Indian celluloid) Rakesh Roshan's ambitious dream lives up. Yes, it's hugely inspired (by the Bats, Spideys and Wolverines of the West), but our superhero has his own 'X-factor'. Even with all the high-octane car crashes, explosions and 'animatronics', the philosophy is the force behind it all, yet, never overpowering the story.

While the first half is mainly to establish the characters, it’s the second half that holds your attention till the last frame. Considering 75 per cent of the film has VFX, the graphics seem a bit sketchy in a few initial scenes. But where it matters the most, like the climax, it’s bang on!

Mercifully, the film doesn’t. It passes muster because of the consistently high quality of its CGI and the undeniable power of a known franchise.

This variety is what Krrish is up against in his second avatar as superhero and third film as franchise in filmmaker Rakesh Roshan’s ambitiously-scaled, action-packed and blatantly-inspired Diwali offering targeted at kids.

Krrish 3 is an entertaining mix of spectacle and human-scale drama. Roshan combines his imagination and flair to deliver a film that is sure to capture everyone's imagination. It has something for everybody. For a superhero film fan there are fantasy characters, a super villain, full scale heroism, plot twists and superb action.

Hrithik Roshan as the superhero bores you this time around with his cheesy sugariness and it's Kaal's devious plans that you want to see with excitement. Vivek Oberoi delivers tremendous performance and everything right from his looks to his acting is laudable. Similar is the case with Kangana Ranaut who is fantastic as the shape-shifter Kaya. Her latex suit, her hair and her walk are absolutely apt for her part and so is her acting. Priyanka Chopra as passable.

The movie does set a bar on india's ability to pull a sci fi super hero on its own.. great.. but why stick to those banal roots and rely on those mundane gimmicks of unnecessary song and dance.. Kaaya falling for Krrish and dying in his arms.. all these could have being tolerated if Rakesh Roshan had made the first half gripping with more action and CGI vow moments.. but alas after he stunning plane sequence there is a long wait for the next super hero action packed happening..the second half is what we want to see in an CGI super hero flick.. we won,t mind even if we get reminded of the X-Men in the due course..

Roshan Jr is as likeable and earnest as he usually is, but can't rise above the mothballed treatment. Roshan Sr, who has written and directed, should have given the superhero more to do.

Even if the brisk pace of the first half of the film keeps you thrilled, the second half is crammed with sketchy VFX’s. The highly predictable and unimaginative plot doesn’t add to the thrill quotient either. In the end, you get a movie that may delight you with its indulgent special effects, but the formulaic story leaves you disheartened.

Though the special effects are good enough and Krrish 3 has a real ‘desi’ flavour, for those who have seen Hollywood superhero flicks, Krrish 3 might not seem so impressive.
Krrish3 Movie Reviews Recommended By Rediff - Raja Sen
The film is 152 minutes long, a fact corroborated by my wristwatch, but we might as well call Ripley’s. It stretches on forever, never amusing, never exciting, never anything but a wasted effort.
Krrish3 Movie Reviews Recommended By India Today - Vinayak Chakravorty
Watching the extravagant affair that Krrish 3 is, you realise the film's failure to scale exceptional heights is not necessarily about its tech-specs. It lies in the fact that the story reveals no ambition at giving the superhero genre any extra dimension as, say, The Dark Knight flicks or Iron Man have done in Hollywood despite not losing out on the fun factor.
Krrish3 Movie Reviews Recommended By ApunKaChoice - Subhash K. Jha
Krrish 3 has its flabby moments and moments that go haywire in pursuit of entertainment. But the narrative holds together. Technical aspects are quite often remarkable, creating visuals that veer towards vitality with a gusto that earlier super-hero films in Hindi missed by a wide margin.

Fit as fit can be with surfboard abs and a stylish gait when he takes off in his Krrish Avataar, Hrithik is going to create pandemonium this Diwali. And the actor deserves every bit of this. My word, there's going to be fireworks at the box Office with a new figure other than the now familiar Rs 100 Crore.
Krrish3 Movie Reviews Recommended By India Today - Saurabh Dwivedi
The movie's holds a delightful mixture of action and emotion, while keeping in the mind the entertainment factor and the Indian audience's taste. The film's editing is tight and so it manages to maintain the right amount of speed and consistency.
