''Shahid'' had good festival run and had backing of one of the big corporate houses of country U TV. Film got good release and decent promotion but despite exceptional reviews film failed to post big numbers.
Film collected 45 lakhs on Friday followed by 75 lakhs on Saturday. Film should add further 80-85 lakhs on Sunday. Film added 25 lakhs on Monday and 20 lakhs approx on Tuesday taking 5 day total to 2.50 cr nett.
Film will finish with 3 cr nett week one and lifetime figure will not exceed 3.50 cr nett which is below average. Though this is not a bad figure for such a niche film.
