Akshay Kumar starrer "Boss" opened on Bakri-Eid festival with 2,750 screens across the country andfaced almost nil competition at box office. The film did well but to be fair was disappointing with below average figure.
Film managed only 14.35 cr nett on day one which was not great considering marketing and release. Film was super strong on day two in single screens and north heartland pushed the film in safe zone. But then film was hurt badly by poor show in multiplexes in west and south.
As per early estimates, film should collect close to 8.5-9 cr nett on day two taking 23.25 cr nett which is good but not great. Good news is that film did not fall badly on day two like OUATIMD and "Besharam". But bad news is that start point is so low that film needs to hold too well in order to meet humongous expectations.
