"Madras Cafe" had good weekend one but then film never picked up and with huge drop in 2nd week, film had always tough struggle ahead at box office.
Film collected 5.80 cr nett plus over 2nd weekend and 8.63 cr nett in 2nd week followed by even weaker 3 cr nett in 3rd week taking total to 45.68 cr nett. This is a big 60% drop from week two which speaks about limited acceptance of the film.
Film might end up around 47 cr nett lifetime which is decent for a film made on budget of 35 cr (including P & A). Film will have share of 23 cr domestic share and 3 cr from overseas adding up to 36 cr including satellite rights. Overall film will remain below average for makers.
