"Madras Cafe" suffered badly in 2nd week and good work done in week one is wasted. Film is now heading towards below average verdict at box office.
Film collected 6.5 cr nett plus over 2nd weekend and on 2nd Monday 75 lakhs nett followed by 65 lakhs on Tuesday taking total 11 day total to 42 cr nett plus. Film will finish with 44 cr nett after 2nd week. Film should touch 47-48 cr nett at end of run which is good but not enough.
Film might end up around 49 cr nett lifetime which is decent for a film made on budget of 35 cr (including P & A). Film will have share of 23 cr domestic share and 3 cr from overseas adding up to 36 cr including satellite rights. On theatrical level it is below average and will not recover its cost.
