"Madras Cafe" trended so badly in 2nd week that it has thrown away all advantage of good week one box office collections. Film might finish with similar numbers as this team''s last release ''Vicky Donor" though that was made on shoe string budget.
Film collected 5.80 cr nett plus over 2nd weekend and 8.63 cr nett in 2nd week taking 2 week total to 43 cr nett plus. This is a big 80% drop from week one which speaks about limited acceptance of the film.
Film might end up around 45 cr nett lifetime which is decent for a film made on budget of 35 cr (including P & A). Film will have share of 23 cr domestic share and 3 cr from overseas adding up to 36 cr including satellite rights. Overall film will remain below average for makers.
