"Ghanchakkar" is simply a case where stars bring audience in but actual content fail to entice audience. Hit pair of "The Dirty Picture" Emraan - Vidya managed to attract eyeballs but that all important jump was missing over the weekend.
Film collected 7.20 cr nett on Friday followed by almost similar 7.30 cr nett on Saturday. As per early estimates, film should collect 8.20-8.40 cr nett on Sunday taking weekend figure to 22.75 cr nett which is almost similar to what we predicted before release.
Though film did jump with 15-18% on Sunday but still weekend was not upto the mark which is due to mixed word of mouth and not so great reviews.
Weekdays will be crucial for film and good week one means minimum 35 cr nett but anything around 33 cr nett will mean struggle in 2nd week.
