Mumbai, November 19 (TruthDive): "Son Of Sardaar" has done a decent business in its six-day long first weekend grossing Rs 69 million in the domestic box office.
According to box office reports contained in capsule, SOS film collected 10.50 cr in its first day, 16 cr on 12 cr on 10 cr cr on Friday 9th Saturday and from early reports the site says the film features 12 cr on Sunday.
Therefore, the national rounds box office collection to 69.50 crore and adding overseas collection of 3.50 billion rupees, the total collection worldwide of Son Of Sardaar reaches a decent collection of 73 million rupees.
"Son Of Sardaar" Ajay Devgn was released on November 13, the day of Diwali with Yash Chopra directed "Jab Tak Hai Jaan".
SOS is written and directed by Ashwni Dhir. When asked about the response to his film, the director said the film has done a very decent business collecting 69.50 crore in its first weekend and audience response has made him very happy and decent box office collections have overwhelmed.
Son of Sardaar has made most of their collections in mass belts rather than multiplexes. During the holiday of Diwali, the film did good business and on Thursday and Friday, the business was slightly down, as they were working days. Maharashtra's theaters were closed on Sunday, after the demise of the leader of Bal Thackeray, who also hindered Sunday collections.
The film showed an extremely good business in Rajasthan, Punjab and Central India East and other areas of the film business made an average or below par. The collection overseas for the film remains poor as the good name was received by Yash Chopra Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
