First week       – 135.60 crore
Second week   – 185.25 crore
Third week      – 201.70 crore
The opening day collection of the movie was 21.00 crore, the biggest opener ever for a non- holiday Friday release.
By the end of the first week, the movie crossed 100 crore mark and broke the record of Shahrukh Khan starrer “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” and Aamir Khan starrer “Talaash” at domestic box office.
The box office collection went on in a good pace in the first week of release. So, trade analysts expected the film to cross the 200 crore mark in its second week itself but Dabangg 2 failed to do so. Even though there were no new releases till the second week, the collection declined drastically. The reason was due to the cricket matches between India-Pakistan and the unexpected gang rape case, which affected the collections mainly in North India.
The movie reached the 200 crore mark milestone in the worldwide market by the end of the third week. The film requires another 45 crore to surpass the 200 crore mark in India.
