"Nautanki Saala" was never expected to score in mass belts due to its urban content but tough fight put up by week's another release "Commando" affected the film a bit too much in certain centers.

Film collected 3.15 cr nett on day one and that is an average total considering film's promotion and release size. Film will expect decent jump over the weekend as multiplexes tend to grow and that growth will decide how far film will go at box office.

"Nautanki Saala" remained poor in UP, Bihar, CP and Gujarat but film was strong in East Punjab, Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Film was struggling through the day but latter from evening onwards film improved and thus finishing day one with some respectable figures.
